Clinically tested and available over the counter, Dermal Therapy Face & Eyelid Eczema Cream is ideal for sensitive skin types.
Clinically tested and available over the counter, Dermal Therapy Face & Eyelid Eczema Cream is ideal for sensitive skin types.
Given that the face and eyelids have the thinnest skin of the body, averaging just 0.5mm (whereas the rest of our skin is 1.6mm thick, and heel skin is 5mm thick!), it’s important to find the right products for such a sensitive and delicate area.
Looking for a non-greasy moisturiser to soothe sensitive skin around the eyes, especially as a result of eczema symptoms? Dermal Therapy Face & Eyelid Eczema Cream is the best eye cream for eczema on eyelids, designed to reduce symptoms of mild eczema and dermatitis, relieve skin irritation and soothe itchy skin conditions.
Australian made and owned, this eyelid for eczema also contains 5% colloidal oatmeal to soothe and protect your skin. Plus, it’s safe and hypoallergenic, suitable for long-term use.

Methodology
In a clinical-dermatological controlled study, 20 male and female participants aged 18 and over applied Face & Eyelid Eczema Cream onto the skin to determine its efficacy in reducing itching, swelling and redness on human skin induced by a histamine solution. This known irritant was applied on the skin at the start of the study (T0min), after which Face & Eyelid Eczema Cream was applied. The skin’s reaction was then assessed over a 60 minute period: after 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes and 60 minutes time interval.
The reduction of itching was evaluated in a 5-point scale indicated in scores from 0 (no itching) to 4 (very severe itching) and the reduction of redness and swelling was measured in dimensions in millimeter.
Results
A gradual reduction in itching, swelling and redness was observed over the 60 minutes period and an average score of 0 (no itching) was observed at T 45 min. Results hence showed that Face & Eyelid Eczema Cream was effective in providing relief to the skin.
The above results are from a study conducted on 20 subjects by Dermatest®GmbH in Germany, an independent testing facility as commissioned and funded by LaCorium Health Australia Pty Ltd.
Methodology
The efficacy of the test product Face and Eyelid Eczema Cream with respect to the efflorescence is best determined on skin that is prone to acne. The change in acne is determined by accurately counting the various efflorescence by a trained assessor. Comedones (blackheads), papules (nodules) and pustules (pus-filled vesicles) are counted on the face before and after 4 weeks of application of the cream.
Results
After 4 weeks of application of the cream on the face twice daily, the following noticeable changes were observed on all 10 participants:
• reduction in the number of comedones by 23.3%,
• reduction in the number of papules by 41.9 %, and
• reduction in the number of pustules by 24.7 % in the test area could be shown.
Data shows that Face and Eyelid Eczema Cream did not increase efflorescence on the skin including comedones, but it also showed that the cream contributed to a mean decrease in the overall number of efflorescence. It can hence be concluded that Flexitol Face and Eyelid Eczema Cream is non-comedogenic.
The above results are from a study conducted by Dermatest® GmbH in Germany, an independent testing facility as commissioned by LaCorium Health Australia Pty Ltd.
