Identifying and managing fungal infections
If you’re experiencing itchy, dry and flaking feet, especially near the toe area, you may be suffering from a common fungal infection known as athlete’s foot.
Another common fungal infection is ringworm, which causes a red, itchy rash. This type of fungi spreads through skin-to-skin contact. You may also experience similar symptoms around the genitals, inner thighs and buttocks, causing a condition referred to as jock itch.
It’s best to treat the symptoms and fight the infection in tandem with a topical cream such as Fungistop Antifungal Cream while taking steps to prevent further spread.
How to prevent athlete’s foot, jock itch and ringworm
For effective fungal treatment, apply Dermal Therapy Fungistop Antifungal Cream once daily. While treating the infection, avoid situations where the infected area may come into contact with others. Fungal infections such as athlete’s foot are extremely contagious, so exercise caution when managing the condition.
To prevent future instances of athlete’s foot, ringworm and jock itch, be sure to change your clothes and socks regularly to inhibit the growth of fungi, wear appropriate footwear in shared areas such as change rooms and bathrooms, and be aware of the symptoms to tackle new infections early on.
